Central London hotels at £49 a night

Premier Inn is a longstanding euflyer.com favourite. Despite the dreadful name (and logo, and adverts…), it’s a high quality, low cost hotel chain.

Better still, Premier Inn is currently offering central London hotels over Christmas and New Year from just £49 a night, with decent availability.

Unsurprisingly, the £49 rate is more prevalent with the less-central London hotels, but it can be found at even the prime central London locations. Where the £49 rate is not available, there are also plenty of rooms at £59 and £69.

The rate applies to a room that for up to 2 adults and 2 children. The price is all-inclusive, not per head.

At the time of writing, examples of the £49 rate in central London include:

  • London City (Tower Hill) on Friday 26 September
  • London Tower Bridge on Sunday 4 January
  • London Kensington on 4 January

The £49 rate is available until midnight on Sunday 19 October, for stays between 12 December 2014 and 22 January 2015.

If you’re planning to be in London over Christmas, this really is an offer worth looking into. Don’t be put off by Premier Inn’s “budget hotel” status. I am currently sat in a room in the Hilton Kensington, and I assure you it’s no better than the Premier Inn Kensington.

  1. I was very pleasantly surprised with the Premier Inn brand. Stayed at their location in Swords, just a few minutes from Dublin airport earlier this year. What a great experience! Service was great, the bed was extremely comfortable and the food was way better than I expected. Probably one of the best night’s sleep I’ve had in a hotel in Europe. And 49 pounds in central London is a steal, wish I could take advantage of it!
