Earning Lufthansa Miles&More miles – outside of Star Alliance flights

We recently reminded you of some great value reward flights with Lufthansa, using their frequent flyer scheme, Miles&More.

One of the key issues with Miles&More, as noted in the linked article, is that they are not particularly easy to earn. That means getting a stash to take you to meaningful redemption levels is not straightforward.

Help is at hand, however. Lufthansa is a member of Star Alliance, and while it’s common knowledge that you can earn Miles&More miles with all other Star Alliance members, you can also earn Miles&More miles on flights with a handful of non-Star Alliance airlines, as follows:

Air Astana

We have not got a clue what the earning rates are other than the fact that you can earn Miles&More miles. Air Dolomiti has an FAQ on the subject which consists of one question and tells you to refer to Lufthansa, while, brilliantly, Lufthansa refers you to Air Dolomiti.
