1000 free and very easy Hilton HHonors points
LoyaltyLobby is reporting that from today until 8 March 2015, you will earn 1000 free Hilton HHonors points, simply by updating your Hilton HHonors account password.

Just wanted to share a quick update. This change has not taken effect yet due to a technical issue on our end, so please tell your readers to hold on changing their passwords for right now. We apologize for the confusion; we shared this update yesterday because we wanted members to be the first to know about this change and the Bonus Points! I will share updates with you as soon as I receive them.

Quite apart from making your account more secure, this is a ludicrously easy way to earn some free points that you should certainly snap up. The password change facility is very simple, as follows:
1) Log in to your Hilton account
2) Click on “Go To My Account Page”
3) Click on “Personal Information” in the “My Profile” section of the left sidebar
4) Click on the “Change Password” option

Yep – no indication that the award will be instant. I’d follow up if nothing posted in a couple of weeks, but feasible that you may have to wait beyond 8 March.

What hasn’t worked, the password change? If you have changed your password there’s no indication that the points award will be instant. I would wait and then follow up with Hilton in a couple of weeks if nothing posted.
Any update on whether this is working yet?
It has worked fine for those who have chased it up with Hilton HHonors. Otherwise, it doesn’t seem to be posting automatically. That’s disappointing I appreciate, and you’ll have to work out if you think it’s worth the effort.
