easyJet flight cheaper than when you booked it? Get credit for the difference

The general rule with budget airlines is the earlier you book, the cheaper the flight. However, this is not without its exceptions, and one of the most frustrating elements of “dynamic pricing” is seeing your budget fare drop further after you have booked it.

easyjet price promise

easyJet’s “price promise” is a little-publicised benefit that guarantees that if you find your easyJet flight has reduced in price after you’ve booked it, they will refund you the difference as a credit voucher.

The easyJet price promise is viewed on a “one way fare” basis, so if just one of your legs on a return flight becomes available cheaper, you can invoke the guarantee.

Key terms of the easyJet price promise are as follows:

  • You need to have booked the flight direct with easyJet, online.
  • The price promise will not apply to promotional fares, where the promotion is launched after you have booked the ticket (so, if you buy your ticket in a sale, you can rely on the price promise for other fares in that sale. If you buy your ticket outside of the sale, and then a sale begins, you cannot rely on the price promise).

To claim your voucher, you need to call Easyjet’s customer service department (00 44 330 365 5454).  You will then be emailed the easyJet price promise credit voucher, which needs to be used within 6 months, via the call centre.

The full terms and conditions of the easyJet price promise can be found in Article 25 of their general terms and conditions.
