Until 14 July 2015, British Airways and Iberia are offering up to 4,000 bonus Avios when you take a return flight departing from most British airports.
You need to be a UK resident to qualify, and must register here. Subject to the terms and conditions (below), you will then collect:
- 4,000 bonus Avios on any British Airways-operated long haul service.
- 500 bonus Avios on any British Airways-operated short haul service plus Iberia and Iberia Express services to Madrid, Tenerife North, Las Palmas and Palma de Mallorca.
We are pleased to report that our favourite Topcashback signup bonus has returned, although it is only applicable to those of you in the UK (or who, like me, have a UK bank account and do a lot of UK shopping).
If you are a serious value traveller, Topcashback is well worth a look – it offers straightforward cashback on a number of hotel and flight options, and is absolutely the first port of call for any flight or hotel booking we make.
Crucially, there is no inflated rate with Topcashback. When you click through, you go directly to the relevant merchant’s website and pay the normal rates, but earn cashback. Plus, from time to time it offers a generous sign up bonus, such as now. Sign up via this link before 25 May 2015, and not only will you earn cashback, you will also get 500 free Tesco Clubcard points when your cashback earnings hit £10.
While you can of course use these points as you like, it’s worth pointing out that you can convert Tesco Clubcard points to Avios at a rate of 600 Avios per £2.50 in Clubcard vouchers.
Avios partner Flybe is currently offering triple Avios on all of its flights from London City airport.
You need to book your flight before 31 May 2015 and fly in May or June 2015. The triple Avios will then be automatically awarded.
Avios with Flybe are calculated on the total ticket value excluding Government charges, with earning rates dependent on ticket type, as follows:
To get the fully boosted amounts, you will need to be referred for the card (see below): without a referral, you will earn 1000 Avios less in both cases.
Full summaries of the cards, and details of how to get a referral, are as follows: (more…)
We don’t normally run non-travel related deals on euflyer.com, but this is such a straightforward, widely applicable one that we thought it worth flagging. Plus, as we mention below, there’s some Avios in it for you…
Via Topcashback.co.uk and mightydeals.co.uk, UK residents can until 30 April 2015 get a £10 Tesco voucher for just £4.48. The slightly odd price is because it will cost you £5 initially, but you then get 10.5% cashback.
To take advantage of this, simply click through to Topcashback.co.uk, and search for “mighty deals”. You will see that the first offer from Mighty Deals is the £10 for £5 Tesco voucher, together with 10.5% cashback. (more…)
While it may lack the in-your-face glamour of the Middle Eastern airlines, the conservative Englishman in me has always rather enjoyed flying good old British Airways.
Throw in the fact that it was my first time on a BA A380, and this was a trip that I had long been looking forward to.
While I always try and be as objective as possible in my reviews, I must confess to a slight natural bias towards BA. It’s my home nations’s flag carrier airline, and it runs the frequent flyer scheme that I am both most comfortable with, and rich in – Avios.
However, putting down my cup of Earl Grey for a moment, was it really any good? Here’s what I thought… (more…)
British short-haul carrier Flybe is offering a couple of interesting deals in partnership with its new frequent flyer programme, Avios.
First up, it is awarding double Avios on all flights booked and flown in March 2015. This means you will collect Avios with Flybe at the following rates:
Heathrow Express is the eye-wateringly expensive 15-minute rail service between Heathrow and London Paddington. It’s so costly, we feel duty bound to regularly update you on the available Heathrow Express discount codes, which do crop up from time to time.
Another sweetener is now also available. You have long been able to earn Avios on Heathrow Express purchases. However, book before 15 April 2015 and travel before 30 April 2015, and you will collect double Avios. That means you will earn 200/400 Avios per standard single/return and 400/800 Avios per first class single/return. (more…)
Online bonus miles hotel booking service Rocketmiles is currently running two promotions concurrently. One offers 3000 bonus Avios on any hotel booking, while the other offers 5000 bonus Etihad Guest miles on any booking.
You don’t need to be particularly advanced in your mathematics to work out that the Etihad Guest offer is more generous, but which offer works best for you will of course depend on your mileage preference. (more…)
British Airways has just launched its “best ever bonus” on purchases of Avios, its frequent flyer currency.
If you buy 2,000 or more Avios before midnight (GMT) on 25 February 2015, you will get a 50% bonus on the Avios you receive. BA recently increased the maximum number of Avios you can purchase per year from 27,000 to 35,000 Avios. As such, you can buy up to 35,000 Avios (receiving 52,500 Avios for a 35k purchase). (more…)
