Air Malta is currently running an offer on its flights from Manchester, UK to Malta (and in the other direction).
The headline of the offer (on a banner on airmalta.com) is “Fly from Malta to Manchester from £69 one way including taxes“. It then says that “Seats are subject to availability. Terms and Conditions apply“.
The problem is that you cannot click on the banner, and there are no obvious terms and conditions for this offer.
However, I did a bit of investigating, and while I can’t find anything quite like £69 each way inc taxes (i.e. £138 return), there seem to have been a number of good value tickets made available on this route.
– a return to MLA from Manchester departing Thurs 14 Feb and coming back on Monday 18 Feb is £169 (inc taxes).
– the other way round, a return from MLA to Manchester departing Thurs 14 Feb and coming back on Monday 18 Feb is £161 (inc taxes).
So, if you fancy a trip to Manchester, or have been considering booking one, now seems to be a very good time to do so. If you don’t know anything about Manchester, while it doesn’t quite have the variety of London, it’s got a number of attractions and the shopping is excellent: well worth a visit.
Similarly, if you’re Manchester-based and fancy some winter sun in Malta, now’s your time to book.
As ever, don’t forget your Flypass card.
If the terms and conditions of this offer become clearer, or I spot available £69 flights, I will of course update you.
