British Airways is currently heavily promoting the “last minute” element to its holidays.
In short, BA holidays offers a package price on flights from Gatwick to Malta, and your hotel once here. As BA gets a commission on your hotel booking, it can offer a substantially discounted price on the two combined (as, obviously, it operates the flights – so is not paying a premium for them).
Using the “holiday finder” accessible from this link, we were able to find some pretty impressive deals for summer 2014.
Examples include the following:
- Dep May: 10 nights (26 May – 5 June) £261 per person
- Dep June: 3 nights (30 June – 3 July) £240 per person
- Dep July: 3 nights (11-14 July) £237 per person
- Dep August: 4 nights (31 Aug – 4 September) £223 per person
Have a search yourself (and no need to limit your search to Malta: there are offers Europe- and world-wide). You can search by month, and will be given a list of the best available prices. The more flexible you can be, the cheaper your holiday is likely to be. In particular, we suggest you put “any” in the number of days, as sometimes extending or reducing your trip by a day or two can save hundreds.
You will also earn Avios points on all BA Holiday bookings – redeemable for both BA and Air Malta flights.
