Air Malta ranks sixth in Which? customer satisfaction survey

As reported by the UK press and Times of Malta, Air Malta has been voted 6th out of 22 short haul airlines rated by Which.co.uk.

The story has been spun a little locally, with both the Times and Air Malta concluding that “Air Malta has been ranked sixth best short-haul airline in the world”. That should actually read “Air Malta has been ranked sixth best in a survey of customer satisfaction on 22 short haul airlines relevant to the UK market”.

I’ve never had any real issues with Air Malta’s customer service. The staff on board are always very friendly and accommodating, so a gentle well done to Air Malta for performing respectably in this survey. That said, if this was a customer satisfaction survey on frequent flyer programmes, I think the results would have been very different…
