Lufthansa New Year sale – Germany €99 return

Lufthansa has just launched a sale, billed as a slightly belated “spectacular start  to the New Year”. They are offering certain flights from Malta over the summer period at discounted prices.

A lot of the reductions are fairly unimpressive, with the non-Germany flights almost all at fairly ordinary rates. However, there are a couple of gems in there. We have of course checked, and there are fares available at the following prices (all-in):

• Malta to Munich €119 return (so €99 – see below)
• Malta to Frankfurt €144 (we couldn’t find any at the advertised €139: you may have more luck) return (so €124 – see below)

The headline discount for this offer is an advertised €179 return to Sofia, but the lowest we found was €196 (€176 – see below). 

Terms are fairly generous:

Purchase by: 21.12.2014 (which bizarrely extends beyond the offer dates below)

Departure period: 01.06.2014-30.07.2014

Return period: 08.06.2014-30.08.2014

One important additional point here is that Lufthansa are also running an offer of €20 off any flight departing from Malta. Hence the bracketed, reduced, figures above.
