UK-New York flights under £300 all-in
We have focused a lot recently on the increasing availability of “budget” flights between the UK and USA, as Norwegian, WOW and Jet2.com all roll out their no-frills transatlantic offerings.
For whatever reason Jet2.com been the least publicised of the three amongst the travel community, possibly because of their regional focus in the UK. However, it seems their prices really are worth monitoring. You can currently book a return between the UK (East Midlands) and New York (Newark) for a pretty staggering £296 all-in:
Return prices for December flights are currently cheapest at £325 from Glasgow, but if the November flights are anything to go by, it does seem that prices may get lower (and lower) the closer to departure you get. Clearly this is demand driven rather than an absolute rule, but if you are in a position to be flexible and book a last-minute ticket out to New York, then you may be able to get an absolute bargain.
Jet2.com flies to New York from East Midlands, Glasgow, Leeds Bradford, Manchester and Newcastle.
Maybe the first ever time i heard of a flight getting cheaper as close as it get’s to it’s departure
Yep – I can only assume they’re struggling to fill the flights….
