$99 US-Europe fare disappears…$154 still available
We have previously written about WOW Air, the Icelandic budget airline offering sometimes spectacularly low flight prices from US destinations Boston and Washington (Baltimore) to Reykjavik, In Iceland.
While the $99 headline price has now gone (in a flash of blog-posts), there are still some very reasonable prices to be had. One way fares are available for as low as $154, while sub-$350 return fares are widely available.
We set out some examples below:
Return from Boston in April/May 2015 at $331:
Return from Boston in August/September 2015 at $334:
Return from Boston in March/April 2015 at $339:
Return from Washington BWI in May 2015 at $354:
If you don’t fancy Iceland, there are always options for budget transfers on to other parts of Europe (not least with good old Ryanair). WOW itself flies on to Copenhagen and London.
Always price these flights up against the standard/premium alternatives, but the key point here is that simply because the headline $99 fare has now gone, it does not mean there is not the potential for some real value on WOW Air flights.
