New Hilton promo code – free breakfast and £50/€50/$50 daily hotel credit
The Hilton Group has issued an interesting new Hilton promo code for a “Leisure Escape” package, which applies to weekend stays at over 80 hotels in Europe, the Middle East & Africa. The promo code gets you free breakfast, plus £50/€50/$50 to spend each day in the hotel.
The promo code applies to weekend stays throughout 2015. It’s also a refundable rate – you can cancel any time up to 1 day prior to arrival without any cancellation penalty.
To book, you just need to follow this link and the promo code should be added automatically, If it is not, you need to add in Hilton promo code RPTVS1 to the booking (see here for full details of how to add a Hilton promo code).
Just how valuable this particular Hilton promo code is to you will depend on your circumstances: Gold and Diamond Hilton HHonors members, for example, get free breakfast anyway, so this benefit can immediately be ignored.
Similarly, if you need a flexible (i.e. easily changeable/cancellable) rate, then, given that the Leisure Escape package is itself a flexible rate, it offers you better value. There’s no point paying more for a flexi rate when you’d be confident with a non-refundable option.
Ultimately, what is crucial is that you compare the Leisure Escape package against all other current available prices, as follows:
You can then work out which price works best for you, based on your circumstances and requirements:
Taking the above rates examples, if you need breakfast included and want a flexible rate, then the Leisure Package is potentially very appealing (it’s most probably worth paying an extra £25 a night, for £50 of hotel credit). However, if you don’t need breakfast (e.g. you are Hilton HHonors Gold) and you are ok with a pre-pay rate, then the Leisure Package is not the value option: the Advance Purchase at £239 is. Just make sure you shop around and don’t simply jump at a “deal”.
Note that, per the example above, the Hilton London Park Lane is included: this hotel currently also offers you £25 food and drink credit when you spend £50 or more on food and drink in the hotel (excluding in room-dining and, for some reason, “Whisky Mist”) provided that you book directly with the hotel.
