Asian low cost carrier AirAsia is currently running an impressive “Big Sale” on flights between certain Asian destinations.
While we appreciate this is not of immediate relevance to the European traveller, it may save you a lot of money if you intend to fly to Asia from Europe, and then need an onward intra-Asian journey.
By way of example, we flagged a return flight between Heathrow and Bangkok at £469 with Finnair yesterday. This coincides with the AirAsia sale in March 2015, so you could then fly on to Chiang Mai for US$10, or Phuket for US$14 each-way.
Other impressive one-way, all-in, prices include Bali-Perth at $36. Kuala Lumpur-Hong Kong at $60, Bangkok-Krabi at $14, Bangkok-Singapore at $43 and Manila-Shanghai at $47.
