Using Flypass KMiles to upgrade to Air Malta Business Class
If you choose to use your KMiles on an Air Malta Business Class upgrade, it is important to remember that there is substantially less value to this upgrade if you are not flying out of Malta or London Heathrow.
The simple reason for this is that you do not get access to a Business Class lounge, which is one of the principal benefits of flying Air Malta Business Class, in any event.
In particular, Air Malta uses the excellent Etihad lounge at London Heathrow, so if you are looking to upgrade, I strongly suggest you keep your points for any LHR-MLA journey you might be making.
Details of the KMiles needed for Air Malta Business Class upgrades is here (it’s 10,000 KMiles one way for flights from London Heathrow), and you can book the upgrade by contacting Air Malta Flypass on +356 2299 9660.
In short, unless you are flying from Malta or Heathrow, we recommend that you do not use your KMiles for a business class upgrade, as you get poor value from them and are better advised to use them on a flight, rather than an upgrade.
