Competition among airlines can be a wonderful thing. Only a few months after Turkish Airlines announced that it was to fly directly between Malta and Istanbul (and this website also warned that Air Malta was generally offering better value), comes this red hot deal from Turkish Airlines.
In short, Turkish Airlines are offering returns from Malta to Istanbul from a staggeringly good value €98 all in (including taxes).
You need to use this link to book at the discounted rate.
I have done some dummy bookings and there was a fair bit of availability on the €98 returns, but you may need to move quickly
The specific terms and conditions (note limited travel period) are as follows:
Purchasing Period: 12 March 2013 – 25 June 2013
Travel Period: 25 May 2013 – 25 June 2013
Minimum Stay: 2 day(s) or Sunday
Maximum Stay: 14 day(s)
Special price is available only up to 7 day(s) before departure.
Tickets must be purchased up to 72 hour(s) after making your reservation.
Special offer is only valid on turkishairlines.com
Special offer is all inclusive (all taxes, fees and surcharges ) and subject to availability (due to limited seat capacity)
Promotional tickets are not eligible for mileage accrual for Miles&Smiles members.
As you can see from the above, the only very slight downside to this (at least from a “Malta points” perspective) is that you can’t earn frequent flyer (Miles&Smiles) points. But at €98 return, who cares?
