We have previously flagged the 1000 free airberlin topbonus miles you can receive for simply signing up to free membership with Heinemann & Me duty-free. However, go ahead with this sign up and you should also get a €10 voucher to spend in their shops.
We’ve all signed up to the newsletter for the topbonus miles alone, but two of us have now had birthdays since doing so and – entirely unexpectedly – have received a €10 voucher to spend at Heinemann & Me as a birthday gift from them.
We can’t guarantee that everyone will get this voucher, we could have just been lucky. I’d be surprised if it wasn’t sent out to most sign-ups though, and a contact of ours in Australia has also received one, so it does not appear to be limited to EU addresses. In any event, you’ll get the 1000 miles for signing up, wherever you are. (more…)
A sensationalist headline perhaps, but we really have yet to see reward flights (i.e. free flights gained through airline points) cheaper than those available through airberlin’s topbonus topdeals.

Airberlin is now Europe’s seventh largest airline, and one that anyone looking for bargain flights should pay serious attention to.
The simple reason for this is the excellent value that can usually be found by virtue of its frequent flyer scheme, Topbonus. Topbonus currently runs periodic “topdeal” tickets, where it slashes the number of miles required for a redemption flight.
In addition, the range and availability of such flights is enormous.
You can currently get 1000 free miles with popular low-cost European airline airberlin by simply registering with Heinemann duty free.
(As an aside, this post will also show you how to earn an international redemption flight with airberlin for just 2500 topbonus miles)
We did flag this free miles promo late last year, when it was a 500 mile registration bonus for Heinemann, plus an additional 500 miles for signing up to the newsletter. If you signed up then you cannot, unfortunately, earn the miles again.
If you’re not already a topbonus member, you can also earn another 500 miles by signing up to the newsletter when you register for the programme. (more…)
