Nectar – Easyjet’s “frequent flyer programme”
I have already noted the fact that Nectar points can be spent on Easyjet flights. Given that you can also earn Nectar points with Easyjet, this in effect makes Nectar the “frequent flyer programme” of Easyjet (and this is great news – frequent flyer programmes are almost unheard of with the budget airlines).
As a result, I will always be alerting you to when you can get good value Nectar offers. At present, there are a couple:
Nectar search
The Nectar Yahoo search toolbar gives you 100 immediate free points for downloading it, and then 1 Nectar point per 2 Yahoo searches. The maths on this equates to 4 Yahoo searches earning you a £0.01 off an Easyjet flight. This is hardly a “get-rich-quick” scheme, and it’s limited to 100 points a month, but the main point is it’s worth using habitually, as the points will add up. Rather than going directly to a website, type it into the Yahoo search bar and then go to it, earning you 0.5 Nectar points each time.
10% Nectar points back on Easyjet flights
Via Sainsbury’s “Collect More, Fly More” campaign you now get back 10% of the points you spend on every Easyjet flight booking through nectar.com (you also get a monthly entry into a prize-draw for the chance to win £200 worth of Nectar points to spend on an Easyjet flight).
To join “Collect More, Fly More”, you need to have a Nectar card registered online. You then opt into it via the latter link.
