Lufthansa sale – large discounts on flights from Malta to USA
Lufthansa has just announced a sale on flights between Malta and the USA. The good news is that this is a genuinely impressive sale, with wide availability of sale prices (at the time of writing) and prices that are even lower than the advertised sale rates!
This is a “winter sale”, so flights need to be purchased by 31 December 2012. Travel out must be between 10 October and 16 December 2013, and travel back must be between 13 October 2013 and 16 March 2014. You also need to be in the USA for at least one Saturday.
Sale prices are as follows (all economy flights from Malta):
- New York – from €649 return
- Boston – from €729 return
- Houston – from €889 return
- Orlando – from €869 return
- Philadelphia – from €869 return
- San Francisco – from €839 return
- Washington – from €749 return
A number of the above “starting” prices can also be bettered when you search on the Lufthansa website, it just depends on your dates and how flexible you are. For example, I found return flights to New York for €631, and there are plenty available at €642 return.
There are also massive discounts on business class, with New York from €1889.
So, if you’re after a break to the US this winter, now is a very good time to book. It’s important to remember that these are prices for flights from (and back to) Malta, so the price is all-inclusive from MLA.
