Valentine’s at the Kempinski – €97 a night for two (and receive 500 airline points)

The Kempinski San Lawrenz (Gozo) has featured in a few Maltapoints posts. It’s a good quality five star hotel, with extended leisure facilities (including a spa and indoor/outdoor pools) and a fantastic buffet breakfast. It also occasionally offers exceptionally good value.

As of now, you can book a standard room for the Valentine’s Day weekend (Fri 14 and Sat 15 Feb) through Agoda for just €97 a night (for two people). This rate includes breakfast, and is a substantial saving even on Kempinski’s direct “best flexible rate”, which is currently €115 per night.

(Single occupancy in the same period is €67, but the idea of someone staying there on their own over the Valentine’s Day weekend slightly makes me want to cry.)

In addition, you will earn 500 airline points from a range of frequent flyer programmes (including Miles&More and BA Executive Club (Avios)) for stays at the Kempinski.
