€66 return “blind booking” flights – destination revealed after payment…
We recently posted details of a good value (and ongoing) sale being offered by Lufthansa Group’s budget carrier Germanwings. In addition to this, Germanwings currently offers the intriguing “blind booking” option from Berlin, Cologne, Dusseldorf, Hamburg, Hanover and Stuttgart – for just €66 for a return flight.
In short, you choose your departure airport and then one of the following “holiday categories”:
- Culture
- Gay-friendly
- Metropolis
- Nature, trekking and hiking
- Party
- Shopping
- Sun and beach (€99.98 return)
You will then be shown a series of possible destinations (you can exclude certain of them for an additional €5 each), you add your dates and pay for the flight, and then your destination will be revealed.
By way of example, the potential destinations for “Culture” are:
- Budapest
- Barcelona
- Rome Fiumicino
- Dresden
- Prague
- Pisa (Tuscany)
- Leipzig/Halle
- Lisbon
- Milan Malpensa
- Salzburg
- London Stansted
- Venice (Marco Polo)
- Zagreb
If you’re Germany-based, or want an onward connection from Germany at a budget price, this “blind booking” is perhaps an option worth considering. You’ll earn Miles&More points, too.
Fun!
