£27 return from London to Dortmund – and why you need to go
You can currently get a return flight from London Stansted to Dortmund for as little as £27 all-in return in November and December 2014, with Ryanair.
There are plenty of things to do in Dortmund, and we’re entering Christmas market season.
However, there’s one global passion that Dortmund does better than almost anyone else: with a dedication, intensity and spirit found in few other places, and at rock bottom prices too. So what is it?

I could write for a long time about the passion of Central and Eastern European football supporters, and nobody does it better than Borussia Dortmund. But don’t just take my word for it: this BBC article captures the wonderfully mutual arrangement between Dortmund supporters – who support their team whatever – and the club itself, which looks at its supporters as more than merely cash generators. The result makes for a fantastic matchday spectacle, where the entertainment is as much from the stands as it is from the pitch.
