‘Tis the season of goodwill etc. Fortunately for the value traveller, the major airline alliances are taking this quite seriously, and are currently offering incredibly good value fares from Europe to the USA.
The fares apply to a variety of US destinations, and you need to depart from Copenhagen, Denmark. We found all-in return flights to New York JFK at €1000 with British Airways, €919 with Brussels Airlines and a fairly staggering €885 with Delta Airlines.
This offer is in addition to the recent Business Class sale we flagged from Dublin to the USA. The key catch here of course is that you need to fly out from Copenhagen. Not convenient for many, of course, but a cheap and easy relocation flight there is likely to save you a small fortune on trips from Europe to the USA.
Crucially, the discounted fares are currently available for much of 2015.
This is a big sale – in fact it’s three independent sales at once, spread between three airline alliances (Oneworld, Skyteam and Star Alliance) to multiple US destinations. As such, we set out below some examples of the New York options, but it is well worth having a look at applicable fares for journeys that could work for you.
Given that partner airlines show available tickets on each other’s flights, we booked on ba.com for the BA flight (put your country as Denmark), united.com for the Brussels Airlines flight and KLM.com for the Delta flight, which worked very well – as the following examples of flights to New York display:
€1000 with British Airways
€919 with Brussels Airlines
€885 with Delta
These are all great fares, but €885 (US$1127) Business Class return from Copenhagen to New York JFK is a fantastic deal.
