The complete list of British Airways £39 fares
Walking through Gatwick airport this Christmas, I was struck by how heavily British Airways was advertising its £39 “hand luggage only” fare from London to various European destinations.
As a result, with 2015 almost upon us, I thought it worthwhile listing which routes the £39 (or less, or slightly more) fare is available on, and also in which months in 2015. We hope this provides a helpful guide to some of BA’s bargain fares for 2015.

- Amsterdam – all of 2015
- Barcelona (£35) – all of 2015 save for August (£59)
- Bordeaux – all of 2015
- Edinburgh – all of 2015
- Geneva (£42) – Jan-Apr 2015
- Genoa (£42) – all of 2015
- Glasgow – all of 2015
- Malaga (£42) – all of 2015 save for August (£55)
- Naples (£42) – all of 2015 save for August (£59)
- Nice (£38) – all of 2015
- Pisa (£42) – April, September and October 2015
- Rome – all of 2015

Don’t forget that you will also earn Avios and BA Tier Points on all of these routes.
For Edinburgh and Glasgow, aren’t flights within the UK free on Avios if they are part of a larger redemption? So that might be another option, though 39 Euros is pretty tough to beat!
Yes. When you redeem Avios, connecting flights within the UK are free. So, for example, Glasgow to London Heathrow to Istanbul costs the same as Heathrow to Istanbul.
So if you’re London based, and book the flight as separate one way legs, with a long stopover in Heathrow on the way back, you’re effectively adding in a free one way from Heathrow to Glasgow.
