Quadruple Avios with Flybe – until 31 December 2014
UK short haul carrier Flybe recently announced a new partnership with Avios, which began operating yesterday (27 October).
The standard earning rate is 2 Avios per £1 spent (4 Avios per £1 spent on a fully flex ticket). However, as a welcome bonus, they are currently offering quadruple Avios on all Flybe flights from London City until 31 December 2014.
Current Flybe destinations from London City are:
- Aberdeen
- Amsterdam
- Belfast
- Donegal
- Dublin
- Edinburgh
- Exeter
- Inverness
- Kirkwald
- Sumburgh
- Stornoway
Standard Avios earning on Flybe is as follows:
Flybe Ticket Type | Avios/ Pound/Euro Spent |
Just Fly (non-flexible) | 2 per £1 spent |
Get More (changeable with fee) | 2 per £1 spent |
All In (fully flexible) | 4 per £1 spent |
So earning rates become 8 or 16 Avios per £1 spent, depending on the ticket type (full details of which are here).
Note that you need to be a member of Avios (via avios.com, not through BA or Iberia) to collect Avios points on Flybe. While that requires a a UK, IOM or Channel Islands address, there’s nothing to stop you “borrowing” one if you are not resident there.
