Double Avios on Heathrow Express

Heathrow Express is the eye-wateringly expensive 15-minute rail service between Heathrow and London Paddington. It’s so costly, we feel duty bound to regularly update you on the available Heathrow Express discount codes, which do crop up from time to time.

Another sweetener is now also available. You have long been able to earn Avios on Heathrow Express purchases. However, book before 15 April 2015 and travel before 30 April 2015, and you will collect double Avios. That means you will earn 200/400 Avios per standard single/return and 400/800 Avios per first class single/return.

The major issue in using the Avios link to purchase your Heathrow Express tickets is that you cannot also use a Heathrow Express discount code. If one of the codes can be used, you are almost certainly better off booking with this, and foregoing the Avios (and you will earn Heathrow Rewards points on this purchase, too, albeit at a rate of just 1 per £1 spent on the ticket).

It does not matter how you currently earn your Avios – whether you are a member of BA Executive Club, Iberia Plus, Avios.com or a combination, you can choose which scheme to earn the Heathrow Express Avios with.
